STREET LIFE
My main interest is street -photography. The book " Mdantsane - Life" intends to show street scenes and street culture of a modern South African township, bouncing with life and diversity and exposing a completely unique and colorful identity.
This couple has come to the beachfront to enjoy time together on Christmas day.
BUY AND SELL
Buy and sell to make a living.
Pawn shops and Buy and Sell shops are all over town to accommodate those who are in need of quick money.
CONTRAST
Mdantsane is steadily growing. People are still flocking from the rural areas to town.
And the place many come from.....
is in most cases very different from the one that has been left behind
and adjustments takes time
especially for the elders

WAITING
Waiting for transport is part of the daily life

The old Hotel Osner at the end of the beachfront bathed in mist and ice blue light.
Light that seems to come straight from the sea
breaking through the curtain of clouds, illuminating some spots here and there and bringing darkness over the beachfront.
It makes many stop their walk and sit and watch.
