"The Mdantsane Tales" is a series of documentary short-movies, art movies, fantasy movies and interviews produced in the township during our work on the book.
This time the Mdantsanians are telling their stories
themselves in their own words. We are the spectators, listening to the voices, the music,
the poems, the opinions, the imagination and the memories of Mdantsane. We are shown a world, that we do not know.
Our focus is on artists. muscians,
poets, writers, students, dancers, revolutionaries, believers,
protesters, comedians, free spirits, the unusual ones and people with other great aspirations.The stories of old and young are linked and connected in society. We are attempting to show the
interdependency of people and their influence on each other in their society.
