The Palace - Get Your Hair Done Girl

" The Palace" is a very, very chic up-market hair and nail boutique in the modern Mdantsane City Mall.

The opening of the multi-million-rand Mdantsane City Mall, one of the largest shopping centers in the Eastern Cape in April 2008, changed a lot the life of the inhabitants of the township.
It brought a new chapter for Mdantsane transforming it from a housing development where people still had to commute to East London City center to buy things they needed, into a self-contained suburb with it's own amenities and entertainment facilities.

It seems like it is really fun to have your hair done here.

I mean who of us ladies would not like this ?

Getting spoiled like this I wanted to say ? hmm ?

What is most in demand ?  Joining hair !
Extensions !

Close Up On Mazozo

Mazozo says, she is NOT photogenic at all !

" The Mdantsane Way"  thinks however she is a hell of a sophisticated, stunning and sexy lady,  born to have her pictures taken.

She is not convinced yet, but we are happy to announce that Mazozo has come on board.
We are proud to have her and her knowledge with us.
A lot of interesting stories are on the way !

STREET LIFE

My main  interest is street -photography. The book " Mdantsane - Life"  intends to show street scenes and street culture of a modern South African township, bouncing with life and diversity and exposing a completely unique and colorful identity.

This couple has come to the beachfront to enjoy time together on Christmas day.

TIMELESS BEAUTY

But whatever the work is - she is able to portray African Beauty at any given moment in time.
Cornelia with one of the traditional huge Xhose bead-work earrings.

And here modeling some of my own jewelry creations - her head adorned with a traditional blue South African Shwe Shwe headscarf like only she can wrap it.

Wearing a set of red earrings and a ring made from recycled materials and buttons.

She is one of my favorite models. Perfect Southern Beauty.

Traditional Will Never Be Out Of Fashion !!!

We received one last piece of useful advice from the SEWING SISTERS.

" A Woman does not have to look like a twig, cause what man does want a twig ? "

Another relieving thought don't you think?
