Shelter is the most basic of all human needs. Until this need is satisfied there can be no peace of mind. We are showing the reality of an informal settlement in the Mdantsane township in South Africa.
The music was chosen by us because it matches perfectly our images. Music and Lyrics belong to the unforgettable Louis Armstrong. We do not claim any rights to it.

The Mdantsane Way Online Magazine is the side project of South African based Photographer and Designer Chocolat Negro. Mdantsane is the second biggest township in South- Africa, a township that is not very well known and documented and that stands in the shade of it's more famous sisters Soweto and Khayelitsha. Our Magazine is a site that showcases passionate and talented men and women of all descriptions. For years we have collected stories and pictures and this is a work of passion.
